As a trial attorney, Anna Carroll represents individuals and businesses all over the state in a wide variety of cases. Anna began working at Heninger Garrison Davis, LLC, in 2016 upon graduation from the University of Alabama School of Law. She has devoted her career to representing people or businesses that have suffered injuries, whether physical, emotional, mental, or financial. She strives to meet her clients’ needs and to help make the legal process understandable and accessible for everyone. Anna’s practice focuses primarily on personal injury and wrongful death, including medical malpractice, motor vehicle collisions, and premises liability. In addition to practicing in Alabama, she is also licensed in New Jersey and Tennessee. Anna finds the most joy in her practice through her interactions with other people, whether clients, defendants, attorneys, or judges.
Anna was recognized in the 2023 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® for her work in personal injury litigation. She was also selected to the 2022 and 2023 Super Lawyers Rising Stars list.
Anna is an active leader in the legal community in Birmingham and in the state of Alabama. In 2022, she was elected to the Birmingham Bar Association Executive Committee as an at-large committee member for a three-year term. Prior to joining the Executive Committee, Anna served on the Young Lawyers Section Board as an at-large member, Vice President of Public Service, President-Elect, and President. Anna participated in the BBA Future Leader’s Forum in 2022. She was recently selected as a member in the Alabama State Bar’s Leadership Forum for 2024. Anna is a proud member of the Alabama Association for Justice and endeavors to preserve and protect the Seventh Amendment right to a jury trial.
In addition to practicing law, Anna also loves teaching. Since April of 2018, she has tutored adults in reading and writing at the Literacy Council of Central Alabama. Anna returned to her alma mater, the University of Alabama School of Law, in 2024 to teach Trial Advocacy.
In her free time, Anna enjoys travelling with her friends, visiting her family in Ozark, experiencing Birmingham’s exciting food scene, reading novels, watching college football, and baking pastries. She lives in Avondale with her devoted companion, seven-year-old German Shepherd, Freyja of the Vanir.
