A surprise dedication ceremony was held on Tuesday, August 15, to name and dedicate the new HGD Moot Court Room, located in the downtown Birmingham office, in honor of Steve Heninger. Attended by all the HGD partners, associates and staff, Tim Davis called an official business meeting into order to vote on naming the new room The Stephen D. Heninger Moot Court Room. The vote was unanimous in favor of the proposal and a bronze plaque was presented to Steve by partner Lew Garrison.

The new Stephen D. Heninger Moot Court Room, designed by Laura Bartlett of Bates Architects, features 16 foot ceilings, a white oak accent wall and a judge’s bench and witness stand. HGD plans to use the court room to help clients prepare for trial, as well as allowing area students and other firms to use it when mock trial preparation is needed in a realistic court setting.
