On Saturday, June 23, our HGD Atlanta team participated in “ServiceJuris Atlanta” for the second year in a row. This year, the team worked at Luther J. Price Middle School. Some of the tasks included pressure washing a concrete court yard, re-painting curbs and paw prints representing the schools Wildcat’s mascot that were scattered throughout the parking lot and courtyard. The HGD team included Nada Tadic, Cathy Payne, Jonathan Miller, Travis Lynch, Sara Lynch, and Josip Tadic.
ServiceJuris Day is a service event designed specifically for individuals or groups that work in or support the legal services industry. Each year, these members join forces and volunteer one day of their time for a service project coordinated by Hands On Atlanta. The event was created to foster interest and involvement from the legal community in a non-legal service project.

Over its 15-year history, nearly 6,000 ServiceJuris volunteers have contributed more than 22,000 hours of service – enriching the learning environments for more than 3,300 public school students, renovating nine neighborhood parks and enabling 7,000 people to utilize their community. ServiceJuris is planned and hosted by representatives of nearly 30 Atlanta law firms and legal service companies. The steering committee is supported by Hands On Atlanta, whose mission is to tackle Greater Atlanta’s most pressing needs by igniting a passion for service and creating lifelong community volunteers.
