This program has been a cornerstone of support within our legal community, confidentially assisting over 1,000 lawyers, judges, and law students across Alabama since its inception in 2000.

ALAP is dedicated to providing confidential assistance and support to those in the legal profession who are facing challenges related to mental health, substance use, cognitive impairments, stress, burnout, and other problematic behaviors. The program offers a pathway to recovery through interventions, assessments, referrals, education, and a network of peers who have faced similar struggles.
Chris and Brandy are honored to serve and contribute to ALAP’s mission of fostering a supportive and healthy legal community. Their involvement underscores HGD’s commitment to the well-being of our legal professionals and the broader community.
