HGD is pleased to announce that Anna Carroll and Jeanie Sleadd will begin 2023 as partners in our firm.
As a trial attorney at Heninger Garrison Davis, LLC, Anna M. Carroll represents Plaintiffs all over the state in a wide variety of cases. She was born in Ozark, Alabama and developed an interest in law at a young age when her soccer coach was elected as the local District Attorney. Following graduation from Birmingham-Southern College in 2011, Anna explored the other side of the classroom by teaching English abroad in Hungary. She then worked in Human Resources at a local law firm while studying for the LSAT. Anna graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2016 and began practicing law at Heninger Garrison Davis, LLC upon passing the Alabama Bar Exam in September 2016.
Anna has devoted her career to representing aggrieved individuals. She strives to meet her clients’ needs and to help make the legal process understandable for everyone. Anna’s practice focuses primarily on personal injury and wrongful death, including medical malpractice, motor vehicle collisions, and premises liability. In addition to practicing in Alabama, she is also licensed in New Jersey and Tennessee. Anna finds the most joy in her practice through her interactions with other people, whether clients, defendants, attorneys, or judges. Anna is being recognized in the 2023 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® for her work in personal injury litigation.

Jeanie has been a vital and vibrant attorney for HGD for the past 10 years. As a member of our mass tort and class action group, Jeanie represents people all over the country. This allows her to travel extensively, working with clients and lawyers throughout the US. Whether it’s sharing jabs with a client from the Midwest who’s a big Ohio State football fan (Jeanie is an enthusiastic Alabama football fan) or just chatting with a client from Wisconsin who calls to hear Jeanie’s Southern accent, her favorite part of the job is meeting and forming relationships with her clients.
Jeanie’s practice also includes appellate work in the Eleventh Circuit and the US Supreme Court. She is admitted to the United States District Court, Northern and Middle, the Eleventh Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Jeanie’s work has led her to be recognized as a Mid-South Super Lawyer Rising Star, Best Lawyers in America “Ones to Watch”, B-Metro Top Women Attorneys in Birmingham, and B-Metro Top Lawyers in Birmingham.
Jeanie was born and raised in Eufaula, Alabama. She earned her B.A. from Birmingham-Southern College and her J.D. from The University of Alabama Law School. After law school, she joined HGD. In addition to mentoring, Jeanie has a passion for local, state, and national civic engagement. Her work here at HGD and in the community led to her being recognized as “One of the Women Who Shape the State of Alabama” in 2019.
