HGD partner Amanda Williamson has been appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee (PEC) supervising the In re Paraquat Products Liability Litigation by Chief Judge Nancy J. Rosenstengel of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois.

The Court reviewed written submissions and oral statements from a pool of 80 applicants and noted “particular interest in appointing a small, diverse, inclusive, and experienced leadership group that is fully committed to coordinating efforts and sharing information and research to advance these claims in an efficient and cost-effective manner.” Amanda was selected for the leadership position due to her expansive experience in managing large and complex litigation.

Some of Amanda’s responsibilities will include conducting and coordinating the discovery stage of the litigation with defense representatives.

As a partner with HGD, Amanda represents clients injured by harmful medical drugs and devices, defective products, and fraudulent practices. She has years of experience in national mass tort consolidation. Amanda was appointed to the Plaintiff’s Executive Committee in In re Depakote where she represented children with serious birth defects against the manufacturer of the drug Depakote. Amanda’s practice also focuses on other personal injury cases including medical negligence and nursing home abuse where she has obtained multi-million dollar verdicts for her clients.

Amanda graduated with honors from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration. She then attended Cumberland School of Law where she was a member of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy. She joined Heninger Garrison Davis, LLC in 2011.
