Erik Heninger was an invited guest speaker at the 2018 Tennessee Trial Lawyers (TTLA) 2018 Annual Convention in Memphis, Tennessee June 14. Speaking on the topic of Collateral Source for plaintiffs, Erik spoke about the measure of damages for tort actions and how plaintiffs are entitled to their full damages. Celebrating the 55th Anniversary of the TTLA, the annual convention was held at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis. The TTLA states their purpose as follows:
- To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States
- To advance the science of jurisprudence
- To train in all fields and phases of advocacy
- To promote the administration of justice for the public good
- To uphold the honor and dignity of the profession of law
- To advance the cause of those who are damaged in person or property and who must seek redress therefore
- To encourage mutual support and cooperation among members of the bar
- To uphold and improve the adversary system and trial by jury
