A Lee County Jury returned a verdict against a negligent driver. The case was tried by Heninger Garrison Davis partners, Brandy Robertson and Anna Carroll.
The case stemmed from a car collision at the intersection of Highway 280 and North College Street. Our clients were traveling straight on Highway 280 toward Opelika when the negligent driver was making a left turn across 280. The negligent driver hit our clients in the driver’s side door and then she hit a third vehicle as she traveled further down North College Street. Our clients were taken from the scene of the crash by ambulance. The traffic crash report was written up incorrectly and stated that our clients were at fault for the collision. Our client and the driver of the third vehicle in the crash both went to the police department to correct the crash report to reflect the correct at fault party; however, officers refused to change the crash report.
The jury deliberated for about four hours before returning a verdict for the Plaintiffs.
